Seven steps · real screens
Upload, detect, extract, price, build up, GA, propose

Honest gaps, not silent zeros
What the tool actually says when something is missing
AI reads. Rules calculate. Engineers approve. These messages appear on the screens above.
"4 of 4 links have no length yet … the links total below is incomplete, not zero."
"WARNING · INCOMERS_EXCEED_SECTIONS: 4 incomer lines in the BOM but only 1 incomer section declared."
"Earth bar: 50% of phase. Estimating convention, needs engineering review."
"Unmatched lines: 27". BOM lines without a price-list match are counted, not dropped.
Regional profiles
One engine, configured for UAE, Saudi Arabia, India and Australia
| UAE | Saudi Arabia | India | Australia | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standards baseline | IEC 61439 series | IEC 61439 as adopted in the GCC (GSO IEC 61439) | IS/IEC 61439 series, e.g. IS/IEC 61439-2:2020 | AS/NZS 61439 series |
| Regulations and specifications | DEWA Regulations for Electrical Installations (Dubai); DoE Electricity Wiring Regulations (Abu Dhabi) | Utility and project specifications, including giga-project practice | Consultant, utility and customer specifications | AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules; network and consultant specifications |
| Conventions captured | Approved DB types in Abu Dhabi; 3- and 4-row DBs in Dubai; local spare-way encodings | Spare-breaker percentages from project specs; rated-but-unwired spares; redlines read separately | ISMC base plinths, SWG sheet gauges, aluminium or copper busbars, INR price lists | Australian switchboard terminology and forms of separation; local OEM catalogues |
Standards and regulations are reference baselines for configuration. Standards awareness supports engineering work; it does not replace design verification, testing or certification.
Size the value · illustrative model
Estimate the engineering hours you could release
Change the inputs to match your enquiry mix. The hours with the platform are model assumptions, not measured results; we rebuild this on your own data during a Navigator pilot.
Estimation capacity released
about 8,250 hours a year, at about 2,000 hours per FTE
- Effort today
- 1,530 h / month
- Effort with the platform
- 155 h / month
- Gross hours released
- 16,500 h / year
- After realisation factor
- 8,250 h / year
Illustrative only. Released capacity goes into answering more tenders.
Clear boundaries
Three kinds of GA, and which one Intellium produces
Estimation GA
Section row, widths, form and IP, a layout with checks, and area and weight for costing. Labelled as an estimate.
Design and approval GA
Device footprint and enclosure-kit libraries, title block and dimensioning rules, DXF output for consultant submission.
Production GA
Manufacturing drawings stay in panel design tools such as EPLAN Pro Panel, fed by the approved BOM and estimate.
Why Intellium Switchgear
More than a quoting tool: an estimation workflow on a platform
| Typical standalone quoting tool | Intellium Switchgear on DuneSpan | |
|---|---|---|
| Rules | Generic extraction logic | Your rule pack, regional profile and drawing conventions |
| Pricing | Prices looked up or keyed in | Your OEM price lists and part numbers |
| Mechanical | Devices only | Busbar, links, sheet metal and a GA estimate |
| Organisation | Individual seats | Organisation-wide roles, approvals and revisions |
| Hosting and data | Vendor cloud | Managed, sovereign cloud or air-gapped; your data is not used to train other clients' models |
| After the quote | Export and stop | FLOW, PROJECTS, HexaGrid OI, Lexora and ERP |
General comparison with the typical scope of low-cost standalone quoting tools; individual products vary.
